Nonalcoholic Fatty liver disease is the condition in which excess of fat get deposited in liver. Also called as hepatic steatosis, this condition is caused when liver has difficulty in breaking down fat in simpler molecules, which in turn causes excess accumulation of fat in the liver. If fatty liver is not treated can cause inflammation to the liver and liver may fail to perform its normal function.

  • Eating low fat food, avoid food containing high saturated fat or trans fat.
  • Avoiding consuming refined sugar and food items that has high sugar content.
  • Restrict eating habits, consuming smaller meals.
  • Eat food items that have high content of fibers, like whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and legumes.
  • Consumption of alcohol should be strictly avoided to save liver for worsening.
  • Including high content of omega 3 fatty acid in diet, so as to provide essential nutrients to the body. Like walnuts, almonds, flax seeds, chia seeds.

Morning-6:30-7:30 AM

Post dinner-

A glassful of plain water or lukewarm later that helps for digestion and detoxification of the body.

Along with diet plan it is important to make necessary lifestyle changes,

  • Drink adequate water-

At least drink 5 liters of water daily. Keep body hydrated, hydrated body helps fighting foreign toxins.

  • Exercise regularly-

Make daily target of about 30-35 min of exercise. Include exercises like moderate walking, running, stretching daily. Try practicing this exercise habits for 21 days so get positive results.

  • Take adequate sleep-

Make sure to sleep for 7-8 hours daily to aid liver recovery.

  • Reduce stress-

  • Limit alcohol consumption-

Alcohol consumption can worsen this condition, take help of friends and family to quit alcohol consumption. Try to entirely limit alcohol consumption.

This condition can only be treated by bringing about healthy lifestyle changes like eating healthy vegetables, drinking fresh juices, avoiding alcohol consumption. Managing health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol level. All these collective efforts are used to treat fatty liver disease.
